PHRASAL VERBS

This is the first part of a new list of phrasal verbs (remember: that is a verb + adverb or preposition) that can be very useful to understand many expressions in specific contexts.

Verb	Meaning	Example
ask someone out	invite on a date	Brian asked Judy out to dinner and a movie.
ask around	ask many people the same question	I asked around but nobody has seen my wallet.
add up to something	equal	Your purchases add up to $205.32.
back something up	reverse	You'll have to back up your car so that I can get out.
back someone up	support	My wife backed me up over my decision to quit my job.
blow up	explode	The racing car blew up after it crashed into the fence.
blow something up	add air	We have to blow 50 balloons up for the party.

MID-OF-YEAR VACATIONS

It's June and we are gonna have the mid-of-year break. Some days to relax, hang out with your friends and family and enjoy differents places and activities. So, take your time to do all theses things, but do not forget to keep your interest on school affairs; your formation is the most important target.

Today, June 05th people around the world are celebrating the "World Enviroment Day". This is a chance to think about your actions for the world. The planet belongs to all of us, but above all is going to be part of the future of our children. So, it's time to practice the simple, but effective actions that are being recommended at our school.
